Treatment Approach
Person-Centered Therapy is at the core of Alexandra’s work, as she believes that a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust and understanding is very important to the counseling process. She believes in working collaboratively with clients to address their concerns. She utilizes an eclectic approach, as she recognizes that each client is unique and their needs will differ. Examples of interventions she may use in her work include mindfulness-based techniques, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Attachment Theory, and Narrative Therapy. Her overall approach entails meeting each client where they are, supporting and empowering them to work towards healing and growth in their lives.
Additionally, Alexandra has completed trainings in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Applied Suicide Intervention Skills (ASIST), and Psychological First Aid (PFA).
