Amanda 'Mandy' Allen

Mandy

Mandy is a graduate clinician currently working toward her M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of the Cumberlands. She holds a bachelor's degree in Psychology and Human services from the University of the Cumberlands completed in 2013. Mandy’s interest in counseling is shaped by both professional study and lived experience, which fuels her desire to walk alongside others as they navigate pain, healing, and personal transformation.

Mandy enjoys working with individuals of all walks of life, especially those ranging from ages 15 and up. Being open to helping those in need, she aims to support clients who come into therapy with the desire to process past trauma, anxiety, ADHD, chronic illness, identity exploration, and life transitions. More specifically, Mandy’s passion is working with individuals who are survivors of intimate partner violence and/or sexual assault, living with chronic pain/autoimmune conditions, parents or caregivers experiencing stress, and those facing women’s health issues (i.e. postpartum depression/anxiety etc).

Treatment Approach

Mandy values a warm, relational, person-centered approach to therapy in order to support mind-body healing for each client. In doing so, she integrates emotionally focused and attachment-based perspectives while emphasizing somatic practices like Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) . Overall, Mandy aims to offer a compassionate space where each client is seen, understood, and supported in their journey.
