TyAnna is a graduate clinician in the process of pursuing her Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Counseling from Liberty University. With over seven years of hands-on experience in the mental health field she has a diverse background of care working with ages 2+. Her experiences include military and first responders, trauma-informed care, anxiety, depression, neurodevelopmental disorders, and family systems–focused support.
TyAnna is passionate about helping families strengthen communication, build healthier relational patterns, and cultivate a sense of connection in home environments. She also enjoys working with children and adolescents to help them better understand, express, and navigate their emotions. Her goal is to create a warm, supportive therapeutic space where individuals and families can grow, heal, and thrive together.
Treatment Approach
TyAnna uses a person-centered approach to support the client in the therapeutic process. While studying evidence-based practices as an intern, she can support the client using many different approaches and perspectives that align best with the client’s needs, wants, and goals. A wide range of approaches may be used, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, the Family-Systems Model, Mindfulness, and Play Therapy.
